Bill Pidduck
Publisher and Chairman
Direct Dial: 518314
Bill has spent a lifetime working in archives and meeting with scholars and librarians. Bill says “It is always a joy to explore new collections and to work with libraries to make these available to a wider audience.” His career started at Harvester Press in Brighton, where he went from office junior to MD of Harvester Microform in a 10 year period. He then moved to Research Publications as Development Director (launching Incunabula) when they took over Harvester. He founded Adam Matthew Publications with David Tyler in 1990 and this has now grown into the Adam Matthew Group, encompassing Adam Matthew Publications (publishing microfilm of specialist materials) and Adam Matthew Digital (publishing digital collections for colleges and universities). When he’s not at work Bill enjoys blues music, football and writing stories. Live music is a particular passion, spanning from contemporary acoustic to heavy rock, and from the Metropolitan Opera House to the Cheese & Grain.
