Part 2

Margaret Oliphant was one of the most prolific and respected authors in Victorian England.  She was well thought of by writers as varied as J M Barrie and Anthony Trollope and was reputed to be Queen Victoria's favourite author.  This project brings together all of her published novels, collections of short stories, critical works and travel writings.

Part 2 provides a further 30 titles including The perpetual curate (1864) and Miss Marjoribanks (1868) ( from the 'Chronicles of Carlingford' series), A son of the soil(1866), Innocent: a tale of modern life (1873), and Stories of the Seen and Unseen (comprising The Open Door; Old Lady Mary; The Portrait; and The Library Window, a classic supernatural tale) (1902).
